Hussein founded HMS Communications in 2010 after seeing so many small, medium, and even large organizations struggle to communicate their messages effectively online. HMS Communications was designed to help business owners get their businesses found online, engage their audience, and bring customers to their door.
Hussein spent over three years working for the largest telecommunications operators in Tajikistan and Afghanistan, TCell and Roshan, in the Marketing and Technical departments, developing new pricing strategies and working cross functionally to launch new products. He also spent a year at ActivSpaces volunteering in Cameroon to teach business development and coding to entrepreneurs at the local TechHub, and learning how they ran technology companies where electricity and fast internet was a serious restriction. You can read more about this particular techhub, which was funded by Google, Salesforce, and VC4Africa with offices in Buea and Douala here www.activspaces.com.
